Author Nancy West: writes books that celebrate the  mysterious and magical bond that exists between canines and their human partners. She is the author of the children’s historical novel Chips the War Dog, as well as the illustrated children's book Kali Leads the Way.

Illustrator R.T. Foster (Cover for Chips the War Dog) has painted in nearly every genre and style in his thirty years as a professional artist. Illustrator Dana Kash’s vibrant watercolors in Kali Leads the Way are created from memories and photographs of her travels through Thailand and Cambodia. Ms. Kash is currently studying for a B.F.A. at Cornell University.
